  • Learn about IPL Laser Hair Removal:
    The active stage of hair growth is called the anagen phase. At any time, only 10 to 15% of the hair is in the anagen phase. During this phase the hair shaft is thick and contains the most melanin, the pigment that give your hair its color. The laser targets and destroys the melanin in hair shafts and follicles, and the hair will no longer grow. Because all the hair in a treated area may not be in the anagen phase, 6 to 8 treatments are necessary to remove the hair that subsequently enters the growth phase.
  • Is IPL suitable for me?
    The Venus Versa platform gives our clients outstanding results. However, please be aware it is not suitable for everyone, and our expert therapists will take you through a full medical form prior to patch test or treatment. If your hair in the treatment area is white, red, fluffy or grey then the treatment will not be suitable for you. The treatment is most suitable for dark coarse hair to attract the pigment and treat the root to decrease the overall regrowth and percentage of hairs. Contraindications include, but are not limited to: diseases or conditions that can be stimulated by or sensitive to light, a current diagnosis or history of cancer, and if you have recently had excessive exposure to sun or fake tanned skin.
  • Is IPL Laser Hair Removal Safe?
    The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment – destroying several hair follicles with each pulse – but not long enough to damage the surrounding follicle.
  • Does Laser Hair Removal Work for Everyone?

  • How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
    The laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. This light energy is converted to heat, which damages the hair follicles that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
  • Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent?
    Laser hair removal can significantly reduce hair growth, but it’s not always permanent. Periodic maintenance treatments may be needed to keep the area hair-free.
  • How Many Sessions Will I Need?
    The number of sessions varies depending on your hair type, color, the area being treated, and your hair growth cycle. Typically, 6-8 sessions are required for the best results.
  • Is Laser Hair Removal Painful?
    Some clients experience discomfort similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. We use cooling techniques to minimize discomfort, making it a tolerable experience for most people.
